Error :unable to connect to server. there is no service available for the port you specified

First, check whether the ARIS Business Server, to which you are trying to connect is running or not.

If it is up and running, check the public port settings in your Business server in 'defaultServerSettings.cfg' . This port should be open for the connectivity.

Services are running. But one service is stopping after i restart it.

Please find below the Public Port Setting in 'defaultServerSettings.cfg'.

Try pinging the Business Server from command prompt. You can also telnet the business server from port 16070

One of the log says

Caused by: com.idsscheer.dl.mapimpl.ora.dblauncher.AOraLauncher$ACannotStartException: timeout exceeded, cannot connect to database server

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01017: invalid username/password;

logon denied



Oracle denies the login to the database..

Will you please help me?

We have reset Username and apssword in lockservice.cfg and in businesspublisher.xml(ARISBP), and in envset.bat according to ARIS7.2 Installation and Administration Guide.

Still We are receiving same error.

Dear Kusuma,

In  ARIS Business Server

Change default password for ARIS71(In Lockservice.cfg file):

Change the password in line arisadm_pwd=new encrypted password

Or put ‘_’ before = it will encrypt password when you will restart server service. arisadm_pwd_=new password.

In ARIS Business Publisher Server:

Change Default password for ARISBP( businesspublisher.xml):

Change the password in line username="ARISBP" password="new password"

No se si alguien me puede apoyar ya que actualmente me marca este mismo error en el LOG  ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied y el servicio se cae de inmediato.

Se localizo el archivo Lockservice.cfg que menciona Shashi Pal, teniendo el siguiente contenido.

I have the same issue. Here is more details:

The aris ARIS Architect & Designer 10.0 client can connect through port 80 if installed on the same server.

It is possible to connect remotely from client computer though browser to ARIS connect and also by using the java based ARIS client downloaded from ARIS Connect.

All setup is the same but can´t connect through installed ARIS Architect & Designer 10.0 client
