Whenever I try to run the windows setup : ARIS_Server from the ARIS 10 DVD, I get this error:

Thank you, that's exactly what I did.
Running only the ARIS Server setup worked fine.

Dear Ana,
Could it be that you first installed ARIS Agent via its own setup, and then started the ARIS Server setup?
Then this error message would make sense, as the ARIS Server setup itself is trying to install ARIS Agent.
Please uninstall ARIS Agent and don't use that setup unless you are about to install ARIS on a remote computer.
