How do I create a matrix model using the excel import template

Hi Aris community,

have someone been able to create a matrix model using the excel import template?

I have some issues creating one. And it is due to the fact that a symbol needs to be set for the model in the <Model_Structure>-sheet. For diagram oriented models like the application system diagram, my workaround is to use the application system symbol and delete the created object afterwards.

This does not work with matrix models.

Any hints for me?

I was also unable to find working excel import samples. Any sample resources out there?

I have the same need and did some research. From what I can tell there is no out-of-box report that will create a matrix model from Excel.

I think the only way you can do this by writing a custom ARIS Script.

All,

Has anyone figure this out? I am trying to import using the CXNS Tab in the excel template spread sheet, can't seem to get it to work and create the relationship between say System X on the Row with an capability A on the Column.

Secondly, If I could make the relationship "X" in the matrix adding some attributes to the Relationship would be my next wish for importing into ARIS.
