ARIS 9.7 out now for Education & Research

When trying to find the right kind of license I choose:  "I would like to take advantage of one of the ARIS Education Packages (AEP), which contain ready to use virtual machines with several ARIS products preinstalled and configured, as well as tutorials and exercise guides. But the link I got via mail included the DVD "ARIS DVD-97.0.0.201410130932" with installation files, i.e. NO VMs with preinstalled ARIS products, so NOT what I wanted.



I installed the client software for the client, but couldn't find a clear description how to set up a local database or to connect to a local database. I looked in the forum here and it seems to me that other people also have problems with connecting to a local database.



All in all very frustrating and time consuming.
