I am using BPMN 2.0 to create process models, however I cannot keep the 3-D effect and change the line color of the objects (task object) nor can I simply change the line color to something else besides black. Can anyone help with this?

changing the border color of an object is only possible if the 3D effect is turned off. You can't change the color of a BPMN object at the moment. It is a bug that it seems like you can change it in the property dialog, but with no effect. I filed that as a bug report. Thank you for reporting!
