Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a way to view Matrix models in ARIS Business Publisher in the newest service release?

Currently unable to view that model type in ARIS Business Publisher... Is this is not available yet or do I need to tweak the config to enable it? Just wondering if it will be out in the upcoming service release or not, as we're looking at upgrading our ARIS version to the latest build, but thinking if it's worth to wait for the next one if this feature will be enabled.

Thanks,

Dimitri

Hello Dimitri,

although BusinessPublisher (release 2010_06) does not support export of matrix models from the ARIS source DB, you can deliver the same content to your users by means of dynamically rendered matrix views in BusPub (Tab "Matrix").

Please see Aris Install&Admin guide for details, and this thread on custom matrix views

Regards, Martin

1. I have created a matrix model by scripts. When i create a connection between row header and column  header, the tick mark is not appearing. The connection type is correct and is visible.

Can anybody help me to resolve this through scripts?

2. Whether the connection created is an object or not ?

If it is an object, can i set a custom attribute for the connection through scripts.

It is possible manually, but i want to do it through scripts.

Regards,

Gururaj

you have to use the following functions of the matrix object:

createNewMatrixConnectionDataObject (returns a matrixData)

and then setCxnData(matrixData[])

Does anyone know whether this problem is solved in the meantime? Does ABP allow publishing matrices in the recent version (+7.10) ?

Creating matrices with the view in ABP is no option as I want to publish a matrix that is connecting persons with organisation units, representing the connection type (their role) in the matrix.

Hi Robrecht,

Since 7.2 it's possible, in ABP,  to view models of type "Matrix Model".

Regards,

Fredrik

Hi all,

Since the release of ARIS Business Publisher 7.2, there is enabled support for the viewing of Matrix models in Business Publisher.  However for those still using ARIS 7.1 this is not available.

Does anyone know if there is a version of Business Publisher or a bug fix release that allows the publishing of Matrix models in Business Publisher 7.1?

Or are there any workarounds available to be able to publish Matrix models on Business Publisher 7.1?

Thanks,

Dimitri
