We are currently running version 7.1.0.371800 (SR 2009_01c). A project team keeps reporting that team members are losing the ability to view objects and models, created by others, in common folders. Their directory structure is very deep - 8 or more levels. Access rights are assigned via a group, to which all the team members belong. We find that we must traverse the directory structure, and at various levels edit the Properties of folders (under Access privileges, select the group and click "Pass on privileges"). This will refresh the access rights, and then all team members can see all objects/models. Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Any insight to share?

Hi John,

have you already reported that to our hotline? They might be able to get an idea if something is wrong by looking at your installation and log files.

This problem happening on After sychnorization with Solman.

Because we also face the same problem, when we modeled.

Hi John,

I've experienced this on two different projects now - both projects were synchronizing with Solution Manager but I didn't take notice that it occurred after synchronization. I searched the 'solutions database' but this issue does not appear there. I'm going to submit to the Help Desk as Sebastian has suggested....

Dear Tinku,

You need to log in with an user account which has sufficient privileges on the database group where you want to change the privileges.
