Hello,
I am just working to understand the functionality of the viewer (published content) in detail (ARIS 10, SR26). So may be my question is simple to answer:
It's about the commenting functionality:
You can change the "Public" icon to "Private" or to a collaboration group, if it was created in "Collaboration" before. I do not find any way to enter single users, as I expect choosing "private". The "private" option seems to add a personal comment to the writer of the comment only. The comment to "Public" goes to all users (what I expect). The comments to collaboration groups (defined as public or private), where I expect that they go to the members of the group, have the behavior like the comments sending under the "public" option.
In the viewer all comments of a diagram are shown if the comment windows has been opened independently of created on diagram or object level (ok).
In collaboration all comments of all diagrams are shown under "all company feed" but no comments are shown in the groups.
It is also not transparent for me which effect the Followers / Following option has (in general the difference is clear).
To summarize: Collaboration groups do not work as expected, single users cannot be addressed.
I hope anybody can help me (maybe a customization issue) or has a "best practice" advise or give me a hint where I can find a documentation. The ARIS help did not help me.
Regards
Klemens

Hi Klemens,
I can totally relate to your questions. As far as I understand it, if you comment in private- it is only the one set as person responsible who can access the comment (and the admin and the submitter). Collaboration groups work, but they are different than I expected it: you need to create those groups in the collaboration menu. People who are then assigned to those groups can see the comments when they open the collaboration menu. I feel that the collaboration could be so much more powerful and useful. To me, it lacks essential features. It is, however, a good starting point and I do hope that the functionality is developed further.
Based on my experience, I would suggest to check out the collaboration administration settings; e.g. I set the person responsible to auto-follow and also the creator of the comment... There might be some other aspects you regard as useful, such as notifications.
From a conceptual perspective, I would also recommend to appoint someone who deletes flagged comments; and clear guidelines on the tagging mechanism are useful, too :)
Maybe this helps in some ways (I believe I did not fully understand your comment on the viewer part^^)
Best,
Veronika
