Viewer - Functionality of comments

I can totally relate to your questions. As far as I understand it, if you comment in private- it is only the one set as person responsible who can access the comment (and the admin and the submitter). Collaboration groups work, but they are different than I expected it: you need to create those groups in the collaboration menu. People who are then assigned to those groups can see the comments when they open the collaboration menu. I feel that the collaboration could be so much more powerful and useful. To me, it lacks essential features. It is, however, a good starting point and I do hope that the functionality is developed further.

Based on my experience, I would suggest to check out the collaboration administration settings; e.g. I set the person responsible to auto-follow and also the creator of the comment... There might be some other aspects you regard as useful, such as notifications.

From a conceptual perspective, I would also recommend to appoint someone who deletes flagged comments; and clear guidelines on the tagging mechanism are useful, too :)

Maybe this helps in some ways (I believe I did not fully understand your comment on the viewer part^^)

thank you for your detailed answer and your recommendations.

Regarding viewer ("Published content") my point is, that you can add collaboration groups (created before under "Collaboration"), but without effect.

I tried two variants, one "Reviewer" is marked as "private" (red), the second marked as "public" (green), but in both cases the "follower" of the group do not receive any comment (group in "Collaboration" stays empty) and the comments are also not in their own feed. The comments are only seen under "All company feed".

did you check out those settings and the ones under General Settings?

In addition, every user can define their own settings:

You can access those settings, when you go to the App Launcher (aka Ritter Sport Menu^^) and select Collaboration.
In the upper left corner (in the screenshot above it is a grey bar with a 0) you see this little bar either in red (I think) or in grey with a number in it. When you click on it, a dialog opens and in the lower left corner of that dialog you can select Change your notification settings (and this is how you can access the screen you see in the screenshot above).

thanx again for your effort to find a solution. Most of the settings I checked already. All checkboxes are activated in the personal notifications. But I do not know what the database configuration with a defined synchronization date is doing. What means: "Enable the database that you want the person in charge of a model to automatically follow"

Are you working with collaboration groups successfully?

Hi, yes we are working with the collaboration (to some extent); I would love to have some additional features.

The text you copied means that, per default, the person responsible is not informed when comments are made to the process s/he owns. People only receive notifications when they follow a process. Rather than ticking a box for every process the person responsible owns, you can activat  that function so that the person automatically follows and receives information.
