Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Leadership, Management and Coordination
* Supports the overall mission of the Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy Group.
* Participates in the development of IT strategies and vision and articulates them to the team members and other associates.
* Supervises and supports the staff as needed.
B. Process Architecture responsibilities
* Develop a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
* Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
* Capture the relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units.
* Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
* Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
* Work with business & IT stakeholders to develop E2E processes using the defined Business Process and Enterprise Architecture framework.
* Facilitate process capture and design sessions.
* Analyze E2E processes for improvements and redesign.
* Drive process driven IT requirements and solution design.
* Ability to apply formal business process improvement & Enterprise Architecture techniques to process design, analysis & IT solution design.
* Support use and management of the ARIS Platform / modeling environment.
* Create and manage enterprise process repositories and interpret integration of process frameworks.
* Train and mentor on principles and techniques related to BPM and/or ARIS
Position:
-At least 8+ years of work experience in an Information Systems and 5+ years of experience in Information management functions like Business Process Management, Process Architecture and Process Modeling.
- Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
- Modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
- The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
-Working on business process improvement initiatives that include design, documentation and optimization of business processes.
- The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
- Process mapping experience in Pharma or Biotechnology industry required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information technology or equivalent
-Excellent team management skills
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
-Excellent presentation, project management, problem-solving, training/coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated skills in problem identification, isolation and resolution through the use of analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge on ARIS Platform required, Oracle BPA experience preferred
- Knowledge of quantitative process analysis techniques, process metrics and performance measurement.
- Strong Facilitation skills.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, Process Reengineering, etc.)
- Experience in applying and utilizing reference process frameworks, e.g. SCOR, AQPC, ITIL
