Good afternoon all
I am trying to surface a variable in our technical Governance email, i.e., the one that goes to the CoE for a technical review before the process owner is bothered.
'$Process' gets you the name of the process that the modeller would like approved BUT, neither '$Current user' or '$Initiator' works and I was expecting one of those options to be successful 🤷♂️
Does anyone know what the correct variable is that works in this scenario, or is this a bug / enhancement opportunity 😊?
Any suggestions/ insights welcomed
Many thanks

Hello Mike,
In the governance APG model, Current user refers to the user who started or initiated the workflow. If I am not mistaken, it contains the user’s User name as a text value.
The Initial Event object (symbol: Process instance started) provides this value, which can then be passed through data flow diagrams to email notifications or other activities.
Normally, Current user should return a value for the workflow initiator, so I am not entirely sure why it is not working in your case.
Do you need the initiator’s username to appear as text in the email body/content, or do you want the email to be sent to the initiator?
If you could provide a few more details about your use case and current configuration, I would be happy to assist you further.
Best regards,
Luka
