We are planning to Integrate Aris(SaaS) with other application in our IT landscape(Cloud).We are assuming that not all applications would be required to be connected except a few specific relevant ones.
Need guidance on
- What kind of applications would be suited to integrate with Aris ?
- Will the integration most be bi-directional or uni-directional ? Any specific requirements when flow can be unidirectional or bi
- What sort of data from Aris would the application likes to consume ?
- Where is the Aris data saved in Aris for an application to connect and ingest ?
- Lastly, also what data would Aris be interested to ingest from other applications ?

typical external sources for ARIS BPA are
External systems might want to learn about the current usage of applications in business capabilities or processes. (Alfabet, LeanIX)
If any of the above-mentioned (except LDAP) are not imported but modelled in ARIS instead, ARIS might be the master repository for those and hence other systems could be interested to learn about this content from the ARIS repository.
For ARIS process mining: Practically any source of business events in any system of your organization, depending on the processes you want to analyze and monitor, could be ingested to ARIS.
ARIS offers its content via a REST API, which you might have licenced. For Alfabet integration there is an integration licence for a generic interface to Alfabet. The cloud version also has the brand new MCP server in order to enable agents to access the ARIS content. This requires a licence for the ARIS companion.
Which of the above applies to you largely depends on the use-cases you use ARIS for today or the use-cases you are planning to use it for.
