Hi
Does anyone has any document regarding "Information on Aris Meta model"?

Hi Uwe,
I meant documents on how to add 'user defined custom attribute' to a symbol or a diagram.
And documents on modifying the meta model(attributes) in Aris 7.1.
I did follow the manual help for defining custom attributes, but I think I need some more help regarding this.
Any document or article regarding this which you can point me to?

Hello Ivo,
Here is my case scenario. First of all I feel that I may not be following the correct steps. Please review my steps.
I want to assign a custom defined attribute to one of my symbols –Organisation Unit. Please review the steps that I undertake to get the output.
1. I create an Attribute type “Local Description (Test)” as follows
2. In the Filter folder, I customize the Demo database filter. In the 10th step, I select ‘Organisation Unit’ in the model type, and “All Attributes” in the attribute Group Type and select my custom defined attribute.
3. Again in the 11th step, I select ‘Organisation Unit’ in the Object type, and “All Attributes” in the attribute Group Type and find my custom defined attribute already selected
4. Then in step no 13th, I can see my attribute already listed in the list of attributes for Organisation Unit.
5. Finally when I go back to my diagram and double click on any Organisation Unit, I cannot find this attribute.
Pls revert back for any queries.

Hi Nelson,
followed your description and it worked. The only difference was, that in step 11 the new attribute was not pre-selected.
Was your diagram already opened before you started to add the new attribute? In this case you have to log off and log on again to the database to refresh the configuration.
In my case I double clicked on an organizational unit, pressed the button "More attributes" (the new one will not be shown because it is not maintained) and now in the group Simulation the new attribute is available.

Uwe
Hi Ivo/Uwe,
I think the mistake i did was not to log off and then log into my database. So this time when I did the logging thing, the system did showed the necessary change(attribute).
Thanks very much for pointing out this to me.
I also checked the "Language Dependent" checkbox.
