I am an IT admin and would like to deploy this application to some users in our organization.
Is it possible to block automatic updates for Aris express?
Are admin rights needed for the product to update?

uh... so maybe we should update the FAQ... this is only valid for the webstart version, as it is how it is supposed to work...
The Windows executable is only checking if there is something new and brings up a message in that case.

Depends: the windows installable version does not provide automatic update, but only does a check to bring up a message. The automatic update is only done in case of the webstart solution.

Hi Frank,
I am installing Aris Express via the aris-express-setup.exe.
It mentions in the FAQs that there is a built in mechanism for automatic updates as long as Aris Express is connected to the internet.
