The PCA top-down method includes Process, Function, Cost centre and also the connection Carries out as analysis objects (at least for those four basic and complex KPIs are initially defined). In the Analysis module of BO there are object catalogs for the first three only, the structure is the same in the Smart Input for BO tool. Somehow there is no way to actually select a “carries out” connection as an object itself. When shown on graphic, there is a visible blue arrow between process and cost centre objects, but it still cannot be selected.

So my question is: how can the values of the basic KPIs of the “Carries out” be edited?

Silviya,

The carries out connections can be selected in the process view. The rule set offers object catalogues as simple way to edit kpi. For connections there is the problem that a flat list doesn't make much sense. The connection always needs source and target object to identify correctly. For example it could happen that objects have the same name and if only the connection would be shown, it would be there twice. So which one is the right one to edit? Therefore we chosed to have the connections only in the complete view, because of the context it is always understandable which one is to take.

Regards,

Stefan

Thanks, Stefan

my fault I had not paid enough attention to the Process View. I can see a flat list isn't worthy (but wouldn't it be nice if connection were able to be selected right from the graphic?).

Regard,

Silviya
