Start the report with reference to the latest version date and executed user

Hi everyone,

Reports can be started by event-triggered macros. When the report is started, the version history should be checked first. This explicitly includes the user and the date of the versioning performed. If the user is “arisservice” and the date of the versioning matches the current date, the remaining content of the report should be executed, otherwise nothing should happen.

Hence the question: is the above described possible and can the versions and the executing user and date be read out? If so, what exactly would the necessary code look like?

Hello Stephan,

with the report scripting API you can use the component Versioning (s. script help)

either to access all changelist information for a given database, then query for models that were versioned with a given changelist ID

or you look up a model and get all its revisions (former versions of the current workspace).

A former post might help as well.

i found a Solution. And it worked well. Here is the code I wrote, maybe, you have some hints to optimize it.
