It has been two weeks now since the Dutch ARIS Users Group theme session and the ARIS Roadshow in Amsterdam took place at beautiful Felix Meritis.

I am still processing all the information that came to me that day!

First, in the morning during the theme session around “Solution Management” we saw two great presentations. The first was done by ARIS Product Management who informed us about the way releases of ARIS are done in the different environments (on-premise, public cloud and private cloud). And the second presentation was a customer presentation done by Rabobank about how they moved from a customized portal to the standard portal with all features that are standard available; e..g self service portal, ARIS Flows, Semantic Checks. Because of this move they now profit from the monthly releases by means of which it is now possible to make use of all new features that are automatically implemented every month.

During the afternoon, the theme was AI and especially Agentic AI. What Agentic AI is but also what it is not. Especially the latter was an eye opener for me! 💡❗

There were presentations from ARIS Management, partners, and customers. Especially the customer presentations like ASML, Heineken and Rabobank I liked very much, about how they are using AI and how they plan to use AI agents. This made me really want do expand my knowledge in AI.

What they all had in common and which was confirmed by the presentation of the Boston Consulting Group’s research, AI projects will not be successful unless the basics in process management are in order. When processes are documented properly, process mining is in place only then can AI fill the role it should play.

All in all, I loved the whole day. Not only because of above but also because I could speak with people that are, like me, ARIS crazy.

And last but not least it was sooo nice to see familiar faces again and also to meet (a lot of) new people.

It has been a great day, and I am already looking forward to the next Roadshow!
