We access ARIS Pro using the web browser and a remote server. A new user has not been able to get the program to start. He can select ARIS Business Designer from the opening web screen, he can see the list of databases available. But when he selects a database, the browser just shuts down and nothing more happens.
He's running IE 7. Are ther any common items I should start looking for?

Yup, seem to me as IE 7 enhanced security problem, just to make sure, ask your user to try firefox 3.5, and see, if applet can be dowloaded.
