Hi,
I have a project composing of several business processes which are designed and modelled in ARIS Platform, but now we need to implement the business processes. I'm new to ARIS so i don't know the platform. I can see that you can model and design the processes, but how can you implement the solution for the business processes? Do you just design and export the implementation for execution in an external BPM tool or do you use some module in the implementation platform?
What modules do you need for monitoring, implementation and controling work executions?
So, you do the design for the models in ARIS, but implement it outside of ARIS?
If so:
1 - How do you integrate the external executions, in the external tool, with ARIS, for monitoring and recording execution data?
2 - What is the usual BPM tool for implementation of the models that developers use with ARIS?
Yes, you have to implement outside of ARIS.
The monitoring component of the ARIS platform is PPM which is a separate product from the modeling software (Business Architect, Business Designer, IT Architect, etc.). PPM makes use of the models you create in ARIS. PPM is part of the Controlling Platform.
ARIS can integrate with many implementation environments. The most common I would guess is SAP which is not really BPM. In the BPM space there is integration with Oracle, Software AG and MS Biztalk amongst others. You can look at the Implementation Platform page on the website to get more options. How the models are exchanged depends on the target platform.
Taigo, you might want to have a look at the "Model to Execute" information on this site. We, Software AG, provide a comprehensive solution from Design (ARIS platform products), Build and Run (the webMethods products), and Measurement (ARIS PPM and Mashzone, but also wM Optimize and the Event Processing offering).
Besides the information on this site you might want to contact a regional sales manager from Software AG for more details/demos.
