Dear all,
trying to make a xml import in ARIS9 (LOCAL installation of Architect) we got a message that the current license does not allow XML import and extended one should be used instead. My question then is: how to replace the used license with another one for a LOCAL Architect installation, where there is no license management menu? Is it actually possible or I need to reinstall completely aris9, inserting the new keys?
I took a look in the config files within the ARIS9 folder, also reviewed all options in the tool itself, but unfortunately I had no success to find it.
Kind regards
Trifon

Dear Vassiliki,
thank you for this feedback! Unfortunately it confirms my fears that the entire product has to be reinstalled now which is really, really ridiculous - to spend time for reinstalling all just to replace a key.
Kind regards,
Trifon
Dear Trifon
YOu just need to run from the installation DVD the repair/update option and give once more the keys you intend to use. It might not be so convenient like editing an xml file (i.e. as it used to happen in earlier versions) but it seems this is the only way out.

I had a similar problem with ARIS 9 temp keys expiring. All the paths you went through were explored but with no wayout, so i turned to the support team. The answer is listed below
Hi,
The UMC is not available for LOCAL
If you want to change the license for LOCAL you have to start the setup again, select 'repair' then you can select a new license file.
