Hi,

I have created a new customized attribute types group and attribute types. I have successfully assigned the new attribute types to the new attributes type group using the method configuration. when I display the attributes for an object or model the new configured attributes type group cannot be seen in the attributes window.

I have restarted ARIS and even I restarted the server with no chance to solve this issue. Currently I am using ARIS 9.6.9. Previously, I had successfully customized many attribute types groups with ARIS 7.2.

Moreover, when I migrated the data from ARIS 7.2 to ARIS 9.6 all the customized attribute type groups have vanished!!!!

Does anyone have an idea to solve this issue? Is this a bug in ARIS 9.6? Please forward this to Software AG Technical Team.

In ARIS 9.x, Now you need to add new attributes to each object/model type as well in order to reflect those in ARIS attribute window.

You need to select the respective model/object type in configuration and add required custom attributes.

this should work for oyu.

Hi Yahya,

Regarding the migration issue, I experienced something similar when migrating from ARIS 7.1 to 9.6: not all our user-defined attributes were lost, but most of them.

All the customized attribute types and type groups need to be assigned to a filter in order to be migrated. In our case, some of them were only assigned to the Entire method so, after noticing this, we created a "migration filter" and assigned all our user-defined attributes to it.

Then you can import the filter to ARIS 9 and your customized attributes should be there.
