Open Aris application and specific model

Hello,

I'm planning to write a script which gives to user ability to send email to his colleague with link to the specific model in Aris. I will figure out how to send email but I don't know if it's possible to create link which will open Aris application (in case it's close), login to it, and get the wanted model opened.

Hi,

Open the properties window of the model, and then open the Information, you will find the shortcut which is the link, check the attached screenshot

Thank you for your fast replay.

How can I used it? It's just a link. Aris application has to be open after sender opened his email account, found the link and clicked on it.

Hi,

Your example shows a link to the Publisher, does not it? I don't have any "http: ......" in the shortcut. It starts with "//server name..."

Dear Albina,

The copied link Mohamed referred to can be taken from any model's properties dialog. It provides an URL which you can paste into a browser starting the ARIS download client and finishing by opening ths chosen model.

E.g. this link downloads ARIS Architect from localhost, starts the product, logs into the database United Motor Group and opens the model by its GUID in tenant default:

http://localhost:80/abs/downloadClient/aris_database.jsp?configuration=ARIS&appserver=localhost&database=United%20Motor…

If Aris Architect is open how can I open a model only? It is right to say: check if the Aris is open first and after that open the given model.
