I just went through my pictures I took during the past 3 days and I want to share some more impressions with you. ProcessWorld has been again a big event. I think there were more than 600 participants.

    GRC Lounge at ProcessWorld

Participants of ProcessWorld love the GRC Lounge (governance, risk, and compliance), because they get here some really good cappuccino ;-) But seriously, last week we launched the GRC website as announced by Elke and we got a physical prese

    Challenges in multi-regional modelling projects

Now after lunch, the final 3 sessions of ProcessWorld 2010 in Berlin take place. First, Dr. Jung of Deutsche Post DHL presents his experiences of multi-regional modelling projects. DHL is a big German logistics company. It doesn't just provide mail items, but also global forwarding of freight and supply chain management.

Linking strategy and operations by process intelligence

We are now back to vendor talk, but I think it will be entertaining as Dr. Hess and Mr. Klückmann, who you probably know from ARIS Community, are on stage. Also, the ARIS MashZone video is shown before the presentation.

    Fast-foward BPM at CWS-Boco

One thing I like about ProcessWorld is the fact that you get to know companies you never heard of before. CWS-Boco is a good example. At least I didn't know them before. They describe themselves as "one-stop textile service". For example, their carpets can be found in hotels.

How to bring a process oriented company culture to life

Uh, this one is challenging, because it is given in German, but I need to write here in English... The talk is presented by Mr. Zacharias of LandesBank Berlin, a local bank with 1.9 million customers in Berlin region. According to Mr.

    Internal Control at Wüstenrot Württembergische

I was just attending Josef Kirschbaums presentation on introduction of an Internal Control system at Wüstenrot Württembergische, a German insurance and bank service provider. IT was really amazing to see their approach on documenting control execution and testing based on the already documented results. This efficient approach leads to savings of 2.5 bn Euro per year due to reduced efforts for testing. Always great to see a customer realizing such significant savings. Process World is worth a trip as every year.

The future of business process excellence

Personally, I would not name a talk "The future of...", because that always creates big expectations that the speaker actually know the future. But ok, let's see what that talk brings us. This one is a joint presentation by Ms. Ganeshan from Software AG and Mr. Simon from IDS Scheer.

Value creation through business process management

The keynote by Dr. Jost was followed by a keynote of Mr. Riemensperger from Accenture. He has been with the company more than 20 years. During that time, Accenture grew from less than 10,000 employees up to almost 200,000 people today. This is quite an achievement and he sees business process management as core driver of this success.
