Select model items
You can conveniently select groups of model items.
Adjacent model items
Procedure
- Click next to/above the first item and hold the mouse button down.
- Drag the frame so that all relevant items are completely inside the frame.
- Release the mouse button.
All elements completely inside the frame are selected.
Model items placed independently of one another
Procedure
- Hold down the Ctrl key.
- One after another, click on the relevant model items.
The model items you clicked are selected, regardless of whether they are placed next to each other or not.
Tip
The selected item is deselected if you click on a selected model item with the Ctrl key held down.
Select all/Select all of this kind/Select all of this type
Procedure
- Right-click on the model item.
- Click on Select.
- Click on the desired menu item:
Select all: The entire content of the model window is selected.
Select all of this kind: All model items of this kind are selected. For example, if you clicked on an object, all objects in the model window are selected regardless of their type.
Select all of this type: All objects of the selected type are selected. For example, if you clicked on an object of the Event type, all objects of this type are selected.
Invert selection
Procedure
If you have a large number of items and want to exclude just a few from the selection, you can proceed as follows:
- Hold down the Ctrl key.
- Click on the items you do not want to select one after the other.
- Right-click in the selection.
- Click on Select/Invert selection.
Now, all model items that you did not click on before are selected.
