Use graphic objects
You can structure your models visually using graphic objects.
Procedure
Place
- In the toolbar, click on the button of the desired graphic object or on Insert and on the name of the corresponding graphic object.
- In the model window, click on the position where you would like the graphic object to begin, and hold the mouse button down.
- Drag the mouse pointer to the position where you would like the graphic object to end.
- Release the mouse button.
Line:
- Click on the Polygon button in the toolbar.
- In the model window, click on the position where you would like the line to begin.
- Double-click on the position where you would like the line to end.
Polygon:
- Click on the Polygon button in the toolbar.
- In the model window, click on the position where you would like the polygon to begin.
- Click on the position where you would like the partial polygon to change direction.
- Double-click on the position where you would like the polygon to end.
Select
- Click on the graphic item, or
- drag the selection rectangle completely around the graphic item.
Scale
- Click on a handle of the graphic item and hold the mouse button down.
- Drag the mouse pointer in the desired direction.
- Release the mouse button.
Properties
Double-click on the graphic object, or select it and click on
- Edit/Properties.
- Make your changes.
- Click on OK.
The graphic object is displayed accordingly.
Change line color and line style/weight
You can change the line color, the line style and the line weight using the Graphic object properties dialog. You can assign shadows to two-dimensional graphic objects and/or specify the rounding in percent.
Align
Graphic objects can be aligned with other model items using the Arrange menu.
Align to grid
Graphic objects can be placed into the grid.
Copy, Paste, Move
Graphic objects can be copied, pasted and moved.
Levels
Graphic objects can be placed on or behind other model items, i.e. in the foreground or background (Arrange menu).
