Format model - Overview

You can format your model and the model items to display them optimally.

Arrange model items

• Let the items of the entire model or just certain items be rearranged automatically.
• Align model items to the left, for example.
• Bring overlapping items to the front or send them to the back, if required.
• Group items that you want to handle as a single item or that you want to move.
• Let the connection alignment be optimized automatically or change the alignment manually.

Format model items

• Change the representation of objects, e.g., fill color or line style.
• Change the representation of connections, e.g., color and arrow head or even the rounding.
• Transfer the format of an item to another item quickly.

Format texts

• Insert optional hyphens in texts so that they fit the text box size optimally.
• Use the desired font to meet the project requirements, for example.
• Reset the character formatting if some formatting is incorrect.
• Assign numbering or bullet points to paragraphs.

Design model

• Specify how you want texts to be displayed in objects.
• Specify the background color.
• Use graphic objects to design your model to suit your requirements. For example, you can place the model name and assign a graphic object to it.
• Use polygons to highlight irregular modeling areas.
