Visio diagrams

During import, Visio diagrams of the *.vdx file type are automatically mapped to the ARIS model types listed below.

As far as possible, the Visio shapes are converted into corresponding ARIS symbols, e.g., all department shapes in the workflow diagram are converted into organizational units in the business process, or all server shapes in the detailed network diagram into hardware symbols in the IT infrastructure.

If no suitable symbols are available, graphic objects of the Rectangle type (for shapes with frame) or free-form texts (for shapes without frame) are created.
