Transform subprocess (collapsed) into subprocess (expanded)

In BPMN, a distinction is made between objects of the Subprocess (expanded) type and objects of the Subprocess (collapsed) type.

You can transform an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type into an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type.

Procedure

  1. Open a BPMN process containing an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type.
  2. Right-click on this object, and select BPMN/Expand.
  3. Click on Embed.

The subprocess is transformed into an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type, i.e., all objects are embedded again. If you copy an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type, all embedded objects are copied, as well.

Tip

You can transform an object of the Subprocess (collapsed) type into an object of the Subprocess (expanded) type by double-clicking on the plus sign (+) in the object symbol.
