Differences between ARIS Express and ARISalign during the ARISalign process

Please note the following differences between ARIS Express and ARISalign for models of the ARISalign process type:

Password protection

Password protected models can not be opened in ARISalign. Please remove the password protection before saving.

Modeling

Your model will be displayed differently in ARISalign. Pay special attention to this during modeling if you attach importance to the highest possible similarity between the models in ARISalign and ARIS Express.

• Graphic objects or images are not displayed.
• Only the Name attribute is taken into account in pools and lanes.
• Objects of the Gateway, Event, Task and Subprocess (collapsed) type are displayed in a default size.
• An object of the Subprocess type cannot be nested in a subprocess.
• An object of the Subprocess type cannot have a connection to itself.
• The placement of attributes is not taken into account.
• Attributes are not taken into account on connections.
• An object cannot be placed on the border of an object.
