Aris Express is Very Slow

we do know, that the start of Express is not that fast. This is something we will adress for the next release. In addition, it is known as well that the loading/creating of the first model is also slowlier due to some initialization routines. If you continue to work with the system, it should be faster.

Can you confirm that, after opening the first model, Express is faster?

Well, I have also noticed speed issues with ARIS Express. It tends to get faster as you continue to work but there is no guarantee that it would get stable in terms of speed in a particular time.

Sometimes it allows addition of various events, activities and other objects withouth any lag and sometimes it takes a lot of time to even place a single event.

I've experienced the same sluggish response on a coprorate LAN.

The fix that worked for us was to reduce the default number of colours of the screen display from 16 million to 65000.

To do this, right click on the desktop, click on Properties, then select the Settings tab. In the Color Quality dropdown, select Medium (16 bit).

You will need to restart ARIS, and possibly reboot, for the change to have any effect.
