Apply selection filters to a widget

Hi Alfred, this depends on the type of process mining you have in mind. In our SaaS solution I don't think this is possible at the moment and I hope it will be on the roadmap as I see  very clearly the benefit of being able to do this. 

In PPM (on-premise) this can be done, albeit not out of the box. In the PPM GUI you need to create a couple of favorites (one for the function flow widget and one or more for the filtering possibilities) and then duplicate these favorites. In Aware you can then build a dashboard that shows two process explorer widgets and two sets of filtering. The last step is then to configure the filtering between the filter options and the process flow manually on both sides and your done. Sounds easy, right? ;-)

In this example I have used the Purchase Organization, Process Cycle time and Improvement Phase indicator as filtering options.

Hi Alfred, 

I assume that your question refers to our new SaaS product ARIS Process Mining. 

We don't have a dedicated benchmark app yet, but the following use case is already supported: Add two Process Explorer components to the App Builder. Then you can filter per Process Explorer independently, e.g. by variants. This works as long as you don't click on "Select cases from variants selected", because this adds the selection to the selection panel and thus filters the whole dataset.

Thanks Caspar for introduce me to the On-premise alternative, I see it has more functionality than SaaS but I'm focused in the new Cloud edition. I come from Celonis and other PM tools and love the way ARIS Process Mining is performing, it's just that I miss some functionality, it would be great to see if there is an official roadmap with expected features in short term.

Thanks Julian, yes it works to select different variants but not for the Attribute Filter on the top. I think that being able to do benchmarking between organizational dimensions is a very nice feature and hopefully will be implemented.

Hi Alfred, I totally understand your reasoning and I too love our new process mining product. I also know that they (R&D and Product Management) are working very hard on bringing our process mining cloud solution to the same maturity level as our on-premise version (which, in all honesty, also has been around for much longer already). From what I know from our public roadmap on process mining is that we will be delivering SAP connectivity & ETL in our intermediate release in June and that our next big release in October will have more interesting functionality. 

I believe your suggestion is a very good one, so I will be awaiting this with as much impatience as you :-)

That's great news, I can't wait to see the new features :-)

These are my most wished ones:

• Heat maps and scatter plots as standard graphic components, they are very explainatory for significance and case distribution
• Insert Images, title texts or basic shapes that help on building a good corporate look and feel
• Dynamic buttons with variables that allow quick presentation on OLAP tables this is very useful to avoid many repetitive components showing the same info in different perspectives
• Small set of AI/ML features (clustering, outliers detection, key influencers, predictive results with classification algorithms) this would support Root-Cause-Analysis
