Is your installation an Aris Toolset ? what kind of OS are you using ?

-> try right clic on your aris.exe and choose compatibility mode with aris xp

Hello Vincent,

I can't use any other version, it's the one provided by my compagny. I jave to see with IT if they can upgrade it.

I tryed right click on aris.exe and it did work this time :)

Probably switch off the virus scanner and the personal firewall during the installation. The toolset sometimes had problems with that.

ARIS Toolset 6.1 is 10 years old and has been desupported a long time ago.

A save environment would be a VMware based on the recommended Windows versions:

Windows NT 4.0 SP6a
Windows 2000 SP2
Windows XP

I'd choose Windows XP Mode if Windows 7 is already installed. Windows XP Mode is free of charge provided by Microsoft.

It was funny to read in my archives about the hardware requirements of ARIS Toolset 6.1:

Pentium III 450 MHz
256 MB RAM
120 MB free hard disk space

Nowadays there are even USB sticks no more available of such tiny sizes. Incredible, how computer performance and also requirements have been changed during the past decade.
