Hi! We are trying to change from the installed ARIS client to the web client. Does anyone know if you have to reinstall the entire business server or can you just install the web client components? Any gotchas we should be aware of? Thanks for your help!!

Angie,
The only reason for you needing to re-install the ARIS Business Server to utilize the web component is if it was not installed during your initial Server installation. The easiest way to check if it was installed is to verify the existance of an \html directory and the file index_app.html. If they are not in your current ARIS Business Server installation directory you will have to re-install.
If the web component is installed, you can use IIS or Apache Tomcat for your web component. It all depends on your company standards.
Please let me know if you need help setting it up.

We are currently installing release 7.1.0.524795 and while the html folder is being installed, the index_app.html is not, and the "app" and "backup" subfolders do not appear either.
As a result the web interface is not accessible, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Hello all,
We are having the same issue. We have tried several things, but cannot get the Business Server install to generate the index_app.html file in the appropriate directory.
We think it's an IIS setting, but the documentation is unclear on the ISS prerequisits that must be carried out.
Anyone have a similar issue that has resolved it?
