Hello,
Sometimes we have a situation when there is more than one Process trigger in EPC. For example:

What is the best way and standard? It seems there are many arguments against and for using more than one start event in one process. Could somebody help us to find best standard for our company?

Hi,
I do not see any argument against multi-event process start, maybe except one that some of analysis tools/scripts “do not like” that approach. But by methodology you can easily use several numbers of start events, e.g. like in BPMN methodology you can also use multiply events at the process start, but only one of them could be non-typed.
But there is another point at your model where you can improve it. The best way to use ‘individual’ event for each function, in your case there are two functions finished by the one event. Yes, by methodology it is all ok, but if you’d like to use your model for analysis (e.g. ABC costing) or documents evaluation it is better way to use individual event for each function
