Hi,
I am having an issue with custom scripts that generate Word docs perfectly in 2003 version, but have issues in 2007. It also occurs if the document is generated in 2003 and then opened in 2007.
The issue seems to revolve around the table of contents and/or tables. They are randomly duplicating and overlapping, making the document useless. I have multiple scripts written by different people doing the same type of thing.
PDFs generated from the same scripts are perfect, so I dont think its the code.
Any suggestions?
Hi,
which ARIS version do you use?
There were some issues with different "interpretation" of RTF tags in Word 2003/2007 but I thought they were fixed in ARIS 7.2.
In the upcoming service release (SR2), the generation of DOC/DOCX is completely reworked and such issues due to conversion from RTF format will not occur anymore.

Hi Torsten,
Thanks for your reply. I found that Word 2007 was opening the doc files in compatibility mode which resulted in the layout errors. If I saved the file as docx, the errors were fixed. I could then save back to doc, and the file could be opened in both 2003 and 2007 versions of Word without issue.
I will check out the next service release of 7.2 once it comes out in Oct (I think).
Kind regards,
Brooke
