ARIS SR6: What's in ?

Along with a new release comes a detailed changelog. You can find the changelog on the download server. If unsure, maybe contact ARIS Support in case you got a support contract.

In general, it is always a good idea to upgrade to the latest (and greatest) version ;-)

Sebastian -- Does your reponse indicate that ARIS Community will not be used to communicate the new / changed features in new Service Releases?

At least personally I was very happy with the community being used to announce new / changed features (at least important ones) -- rather than having to review the cryptic change log -- and will definitely be disappointed if the "Good Practice" used for SR5 is not continued.

Hope the community will also be used for communicating new releases of all ARIS products.

my response indicates nothing at all :-) We did the articles around SR5, because several new features were included. Normally, service releases only bring bug fixes or small enhancements requested by few customers. Therefore, we will do annoucements of major new features, but not articles for every service release.

We have the next problem. We’ve downloaded file of SR06, but folder \Setups\Windows\ARIS Platform is empty… Does anybody have same problem?

Alexander, that's strange. Could you try again now? Quality management just uploaded service release SR06 of ARIS Platform 7.1.

Ok, but it's not so easy - 4 Gb... :)

You can reduce download size significantly if you don't download the whole DVD, but e.g. just Platform or Business Publisher.

the new version SR07 is 490292, you downloaded an older one.

Just go to http://download.ids-scheer.com/ARISDownloadCenter/ and click on "ARIS Platform".

The archive is 865 MB.

Is there a document whcih explains all the steps I need to do on the ARIS Application Server , the databse server and the ARIS Business Publisher Server Systems in order to install teh upgrade. Also we sync ARIS with SAP solution manager. Do I need to update the transport request which I put in SAP Systems so that the new fetures are working fine?
