Hello Community!

I have a specific requirement from a customer regarding the usability of opening documents to information carrier objects (either via the External Link 1, or ARIS Document Repository Link 1 attributes) in the Connect Portal.

The user base is comfortable navigating between objects / model assignments via double clicking on the an object in a parent model to navigate directly to the assigned model (in most cases there is only one assignment, so the navigation is direct and the option to choose a model is not displayed).  This works well for the users.

However, when it comes to opening a document that is linked via a hyperlink to one of the attibutes mentioned above, the user must navigate to the attributes pane on the right hand side of the screen, then click the relevant hyperlink.  I have been asked to understand whether it is possible to enable a double click on the information carrier object to open up the URL specified in the attribute.  I've not been able to find a way to do this in the standard configuration.

I am aware that the link attribute (or link title attribute) can be placed to the side of the information carrier object, but the customer isn't keen on this approach as it clutters the model view in their opinion.  Their desire is to be able to double click the information carrier object and navigate to the document stored at the corresponding link attribute.

Does anyone know of a way to achieve this?

Many Thanks,

Ben
