Hi User Group members,
I am here to help encourage the activity of the ARIS user group program in North America. I am the liaison for the North American Adabas-Natural user group (SAGGroup) and attended the International User Group conference in Barcelona in June where I saw a very vibrant EMEA ARIS group meet and would like to see the same here. Bernd Gudat from Software AG-Darmstadt is driving the establishment of an IUG style conference to occur annually in North America that covers all the Software AG business segments (Adabas-Natural, ARIS, Terracotta and webMethods) which can happen as soon as 2014.
Please let me know if you have any formal North American user group organization (e.g., presidents and other key volunteers, local and regional meetings (I know of one meeting this year in Calgary)). I will be attending IW2013 in San Francisco and would like to meet with the ARIS leadership here. I also understand Sylvia Buehler, ARIS UG president in Germany, may also be able to attend IW2013 and I would like to help facilitate a meeting of user group leaders to help leverage their success.
