I will load here every bug we found in ARIS SR 12 (mostly this release).
I don't know, maybe there are no bugs but the feature, like programmers like to say.
BUG #1. We had a frame for text attribute - now we don't (see the picture).
Even in SR11 if you need to extend the text frame it was easy, now you are clicking around the text trying to point at the frame border. So it exists but made transparent.
Even in S11 (and in all previous versions) when you copy a model or model's fragment to other applications, e.g. it went ok (look picture), but now it comes with a solid background, and if you want to use it somewhere in presentations it will not be good.
It would be without a picture - it needs video. Every time when you move, copy, create objects they get out of the grid. First I thought it is because of (maybe) system/ mouse etc. but not - every time any model produced by different clients in SR12 gets the same result - a lot of objects are shifted from the grid and you have all the time click on the 'Align to grid'
For #1, this is intentionally. We redesigned parts of drawing of the selection to make it look more clear... you still get cursor feedback, and by selecting the attribute, you can get the selection frame back.
For the other bugs, but also generally: we would appreciate if you just add issues in Empower. Thus, we are able to track the bugs and assign them property, thus, our support is informed as well.
Relate #1 - it is a very frequent exercise to change the sizes of the text box (in 99% this is an attribute Name) to push the whole text within the object, so when you try to find the invisible border of the textbox to resize it, that is very very annoying. You know that is not only my opinion but also of my customers, everyone noticed this like "where is the frame". Sure, you have another request statistic from the clients, but I do not remember any case when this frame causes any issue. I just do not see the logic, why this frame (visible frame) was taken off. Maybe it makes sense to add a checkbox in Options like "With | without the frame"?
Relate the Empower - it does not work for the account I use, but I spoke with Tom about it, I hope we'll solve it.
If you wish you can rename the topic for like "SR13 Suggestions", it would then cover not only bugs, but potential improvements.
