Hi,

I'm investigating the possibilities of using a customized automatic layout on EPC model types (even other types but EPC and VAC for a start). I wonder if you can create your own settings for where the objects end up?

When you use automatic layout now in ARIS (IT Architect 7.2) it's preseted with the systems to the left and the roles to the right of the activity (see attached picture Standard). Where I work we model roles to the left and systems to the right (see attached picture Customized). Can you change these settings somewhere so it will match how we model?

Is it the "Layout procedure" that decides how objects are placed in relation to each other? If that's the case, can you create your own layout procedures and how do you do that?

Hello Charlotte,

until today this is an open request.  I have never seen a follow up on this poll.

As far as I know you can only set parameters for the placement of object occurrences but not define rules according to your modeling convention.

There are more threads covering proposals for improvement. Maybe better to contact SAG Aris support or your key account person.

Regards, Martin
