Just facts:
Time to start (from dbl click on icon to first model opening – test on Core 2 Duo 1,7, RAM 2 Gb):
ARIS Toolset 7.0.2 – 48 seconds (app start, local server start, db open, model open)
ARIS Express 2.1 – 1 minute 39 seconds (app start, model open)
ARIS BA 7.1 – 2 minutes 20 seconds in good day (app start, local server start, db open, model open)
ARIS BA 8.0 – let’s make a trend :)
So it seems Chuck uses ARIS 1.0 ;)

For Chuck, the starting time of ARIS is not relevant.
He never closes it.

Hi Alexander.
There are plenty of studies proving that, in these modern times, life is to fast. Decelerating your life is good for your health.
ARIS cares for you!

It seems to become similar to Robert Sheckley’s story – “Ticket to Tranay planet”. People on the planet produce slowly robots specially to improve health. But you should read to the end of the story to see what this means ;)
Good weekend!

Alexander, you figured it out what Chuck just told me.
You know, he is a romantic guy, so he likes to recall the good old times, such as the year 1994 when Chuck appeared as Ranger Cardell Walker in the movie Walker Texas Ranger 3: Deadly Reunion.
Also in 1994 ARIS-Toolset was the very first product for business process modeling and analysis on the market.
Chuck told me that he got ARIS-Toolset 1.0 and ARIS-Toolset 2.0, both 15+ years old ARIS products, running in a Microsoft Virtual PC to keep them "frozen" in a stable environment of Windows 98 SE and Windows 2000 Pro.
And considering that those virtual images run on new computer hardware at lightning speed, you can literally state that ARIS starts in a second.
