Hi,

When creating excel outputs I used the plain command output.TableRow() to create an empty line, i.o.w. when using this command twice, the first row will be empty without any borders or formating.

In release 09 we expierence that no empy line are created in the output, I can repeat this command for as many times I want but the result will be that there are no empty lines.

Is this a bug in the scripting or is there something else I need to do in order to create these lines, I also have noticed that some of the standard scripts - Object Information Table output (just before the legend) - is giving the same result in spite of repeating the command twice.

Thank you

Ciska

Hi Ciska,

what you simpy have to do is to output a cell (here: width=100%) after calling TableRow. Rows without cell definitions are omitted.

Hi Torsten,

Thank you but what will the reason behind this be as this has worked in all the other java versions without outputting a cell, and the beauty about using this command in such a way is that there is no formatting involved, outputting a cell I need to manupilate the borders and everything that comes along with this. I know sometimes I do need a empty formatted line and therefor I am outputting a cell or all, but when there is a split in information within the same sheet just using tablerow give me that flexablility.

Hi Ciska,

this is intended behavior to get consistent results for all output formats.

If you need random access to the entire spreadsheet, you can use the XlsWorkbook/XlsSheet objects.
