I had to re-install ARIS Express after un-installing and re-installing Java on my work box. I am stuck at step 3 of the initial Activation Wizard. The "Enter login data" pop-up remains active after several minutes. It says it's "Checking user name and password..." but nothing is happening.
I have already consulted the FAQ on this problem. I do have an internet connection. I can go to the ARIS website and login to the Community. I have verified that my Java network settings are as recommended in the FAQ. I am not currently logged into my company VPN.
Details: I am running Windows 7 (64-bit) on a Dell Optiplex 960 with the max amount of memory (8 GB). I am currently using Java SE 6 update 29. This box has company-enforced intrusion prevention software (McAfee).

Hi,
Express is not able to do an connect to the community to check the account. It might be allowed for e.g. your browser, but not for Express as a JRE embedded application (webstart).
There is no other way to check with your IT.
