Hi,
I need to know how can I deal with 2 or more instance of a process in Aris?
I have a version of a process published and been used. But at time, I have a work team suggest a new version of some part of this process but, this new “version” isn´t approved or it´s in test before can be promoted to production. I would like to storage both in Aris Data Base. How can I do that? I just have access to the Aris Business Designer. Is it possible?
tks.
I have used different databases with good results over many years - development, QA, production and archive. I also used this to mirror SAP landscapes. All 'approved' processes in the production database, and this is also the databas that are published to the business. All project and development processes (also prototypes) are in the development database. One can then migrate a process from one database to the next to follow the approval cycle. QA database is used for new developments and new functionality that should be tested. I found an archive database useful for auditing purposes - it may be necessary to audit processes at a specific point in time, e.g. at financial year end etc. I am not too sure, but you may need ARIS Business Architect to move processes from one database to the next. ;(
The concepts of a release process or release cycle management have been discussed in length:

Aris Architect is required, and in case you follow the above approach through separate databases you would need advanced functional privileges (db export) for your user role in all relevant databases.
The latest solution is called Aris Process Governance which can automate workflows of approval and publishing.
