I have a challenge in Aris 9.8 i want to migrate the Databases and users using Dos Admin Tool.Can you please assist me in steps to follow and commands that can be usedYou help will be appreciated.

Did you try to use ARIS Server Administrator and its migrate command for bringing ARIS 7 databases into ARIS 9 format?

Yes Rune I'm using ARIS Server Administrator the command i used is as follows when i run the commad is says null,Can you just tell me if maybe i did mistake.Or show me sort of example of how to do it
migrate [<archive>|<archivedir>]|<systempassword>

So you did successfully connect to your ARIS Design or Connect Server and then received for the migrate command no error message but only "null"?
Was the file you passed to migrate really an ARIS database backup file and created from ARIS 7.1 or 7.2 and not older?
Although it has the file extension .ADB it's literally a .ZIP archive. So you could either temporarily change the file extension, or open it with WinZip or 7-Zip. In the 80+ files look for version.txt.
Open that file and check the ARIS version:
- ARIS 7.2 shows application-version=7.2....
- ARIS 7.1 shows application-version=7.1....
- * ARIS 7.0 shows ARIS-version=7.0...
- * ARIS 6.2 shows ARIS-version=6.2...
*) ARIS databases from version 7.0 or 6.2 can NOT be migrated to ARIS 9 in one step. They first need to be migrated to ARIS 7.1or 7.2. If you try the migrate command of 9.8 you see an error message.
