Hello Community,
since I have done some project with ARIS mashzone version 1 and I would like to install the new version without loosing my content I would like to know if there is a specific procedure to keep my previos data.
I though that would be easy to make a back up of the import/export folder and the resources folder and then import them again in the new installation folder for Mashzone but I would like to be sure before doing it :-) ....has anyone already test it?
Thank you in advance

Hello Mr. Ambroggi,
in case of a standard upgrade, where version 2.0 of MashZone is installed over the existing version 1 of MashZone, all existing MashApps and data Feeds will be converted automatically and are fully functional in version 2.
However, if you would like to install version 2 to another PC, then you have to export & import the MashApps & Feeds as you descibed manually. Please be aware that MashZone does not support multiple installations onto one PC.
If you move your MashApps & Feeds by hand (export / import) from one installation to another, then you will also have to take care of transferring the referenced resources like Excel-, CSV- Files, Images and so on. Also, users will not be transported as well as user rights onto the MashApps & Feeds.
So it is clearly recommended to do an automatic upgrade from version 1 to version 2 through the setup.
Kind regards
