Hi,
Has anyone linked ARIS server to MS Sharepoint to link/attach documents? Is a DMS adaptor required for this? If yes how can I get it?
Thanks,

Hi there,
You need to purchase an adaptor for that purpose. Get in touch with your IDS Scheer's sales representative for more details.

Claudio
Hi Claudio,
On researching some more, found out that no one really uses the adaptor and would like to know how they do it.
Thanks,

Hi,
We don't use MS share point but another Document management System
The way we refer to the documents stored there is by using the attribute field
Link1...4 in which we past the url to that document
Clicking the link in ARIS BA or in the publisher will than also Open the document in the document management system.
Hi Dick,
What options did you choose for the profile? Did you choose the option 'Copy documents' ?
Thanks,
Deepa
Deepa,
When creating a publication from ARIS BA to the Publisher I choose profile 3
some where in the description of this profile it says:
link attributes:
System attribute Link x: yes
It could be that this part needs to be defined by IDS.
About copying the link to ARIS: in our DMS we have an option called copy internet shortcut. which I then past into the attribute field of Link x.
How this works in Sharepoint I don't know. May be somebody else can clarify this
Hi Dick,
Yes I did choose the option for Profile 3 . But I am not sure of the option 'Copy Documents'. And also I don't get the option for internet shortcut in the DMS.
Thanks,
Deepa
