I am not able to Activate ARIS Express

Hello,

I am not able to Activate Aris Express.

As you can see, I am able to access the Community with my ARIS credential, I checked the Java settings and I have the "use browser setting" set.

Why I cannot activate and I get the message: "Unable to connect to ARIS Community. Please connect to the Internet when running ARIS Express for the first time so that your login can be checked. In addition please check your system's proxy settings under Internet options".

Consider I am inside my corporate network. I checked the Internet Explorer 8 proxy settings and i have "Use automatic configuration script".

Hi,

your proxy does not allow Express to connect to the community, or Express is not able to read the proxy data.

Your can do the following: if you use the Windows executable, install the free webstart version (for other systems then windows, this will also work for windows) as well.

If the registration works with that version, you can nevertheless use the windows executable.

yes, right.

Only for the registration... this version has other possibilities to register through the proxies. If successful, you do not need this version anymore.

Bad news. Switching to my new Windows 7 laptop , the install the "Free Download for other systems" package dooesn't work: "Unable to launch the application"..

Hi,

this is a problem in the JRE. Express runs with Win7 (actually, the system is not important, but the JRE underneath).

Could you delete your webstart cache in order to make the JRE beeing downloaded completely new?
