ARIS Business Architect 7.2 reaches its End of Maintenance by end of 2014. We only offer it to maintenance customers.

The ARIS 7 product family has been replaced by ARIS 9 since April 2013: http://softwareag.com/aris9

I have visited the URL as mentioned by you, but I am still unable to download the ARIS Business Designer 9.7.

Just got to know we can have the ARIS 9.7 free version if we are associated with any University. But unfortunately I am not at all associated with any university nor I am a FACULTY :(

May I know the source from where I can download the file and get it to know about the product practically.

Any suggestions/ recommendations are highly appreciable.

You may download ARIS Client (includes ARIS Designer) from the ARIS Download Center.

However, you need a license key to install it. But since Software AG doesn't offer free trials for that product, you need to contact a sales representative.

And ARIS Designer is a pure client products, hence it requires to connect to a server, ARIS Design Server or ARIS Connect Server. A simpler approach is to install ARIS Architect with a local/embedded server. ARIS Architect offers also much more features than ARIS Designer.

An alternative to buy a test license now is to start with ARIS Cloud: http://start.ariscloud.com.

That SaaS product offers a free trial. And ARIS Cloud Basic is pretty close to what ARIS Designer offers: http://ariscloud.com/features.htm.
