I have some models which we imported from Visio into model type 'General Diagram'. These need to be 'Business Processes'. When I try to copy and paste the rectangles have an X through them and do not paste.
Is there a way to copy and past objects from one model type to another and be presented with the options (when pasting) as if I copied and pasted from an external source?

Hi Donald,
currently, this is not possible. Since the symbols in the general diagram you not be used in a business process, you can not copy the corresponding objects from the general diagram to the business process.
In the next version of ARIS Business Architect, you'll be able to configure your import from Visio into ARIS. Thus, if you defined it, not the predefined mapping from Visio into ARIS is used, but your own mapping will be used. In your case, you can define a mapping from your chart type in Visio to an EPC.

actually, this feature for configurable import from Visio will only be available in "ARIS pro" (the Business Architect). In Express, you will have the predefined mapping, as it currently is.

Is Aris Express compatible with Oracle BPA suite?
If I make a model with Aris Express I can load into Oracle BPA (Oracle BPA is licenced by IDS Scheer) ?
