Hi people, 

I need help in understanding how throughput time in simulation is calculated. After simulation run I get detailed process statistic and I can find out how dynimic, stat., procesing time is calculated but can not find out how to calculate throughput time. I tried to sum dyn., stat. orin. and proc. time, but derived sum is not equal as given thoughput time.

Please, can someone give me even mathematical formula, or any kind of explanation.

It's the time period between the occurrence of the start event and the occurrence of the last end event.

maybe you know how can I express this by mathematical formula, because I am trying to find out the mathematical logic.

For example I have date: Start date 13.08 time 10:50:51, end date 15.08. time 10:10:10; throughput time 47:19:19, Dynamic wait time 37:10:09, Stati.wait time 9:47:10; Orin.time 0:05:00, Processing time 0:20:10; wait time 1:53:00.

And I do not understand what is this "wait time" that I get in last column. Explanation in ARIS help is just saying that this is  total of the waiting times consumed by the process instance. But what is than difference between this wait time and dynamic?

A mathematical formula for the throughput time would be "end time minus start time of the process instance".

The wait time figure is related to the waiting times of process folders at joining rules.

The dynamic wait time is related to the times process folders had to wait for resources to become available, so that the functions they were waiting at could be processed.
